THE GOSPEL
of JESUS CHRIST
The earth was formed by the one true God—a heavenly and perfect being who is not of the world. He made the world to accommodate humanity which He also created out of love. When God saw that humans were sinful and imperfect beings, He sent His son to live among us, to teach us, and to bear witness of God, the heavenly Father. His name was, and still is, Jesus.
Jesus, who is God incarnate, was born to a virgin in the city of Bethlehem and lived as a human man free of all imperfection. At around age 30, Jesus left his home in Nazareth in search of 12 men whom he would befriend and teach, and who would share his words with the world after Jesus' objective to serve as a living sacrifice was complete.
Jesus' sacrifice was his own suffering and death by crucifixion. This act served as a means by which the sins of all humans may be forgiven. By taking on the punishment we deserve, Jesus' death made it possible for humans to be redeemed through salvation. To validate his divinity as the son of the living God, Jesus arose from the tomb in which his body laid for three days.
After his resurrection, and after visiting with his disciples and being seen by more than 500 people, Jesus ascended into heaven where he sits at God's right hand even today. Those who knew Jesus and who testified to the truth of God were moved by His Spirit to write down all the things they witnessed. This truth is the Holy Bible. In it, we are assured that all who believe and place their trust in Jesus, the savior of the world, will not perish but be rewarded with eternal life.
